Malvern Hills District Footpath Society Carols Walk
The Society held its fifth annual carol service for local walking groups on Saturday 10th December. After various local walks ranging from 4 to 10 miles in the Malvern and Severn Stoke areas, about 150 walkers and friends assembled at Severn Stoke church for a most enjoyable service of carols, readings and thoughts about Christmas led by Rev David Hassell with our own Sally Linsey playing the organ. The Society was joined by walkers from Ledbury, Tewkesbury, Powick, Redditch, Bromsgrove and Worcester walking clubs. The day finished with homemade hot soup provided by Rosie Styles, mince pies and sausage rolls by members of the Society and hot drinks by the church members
